If the iPod recorded like a minidisc, I would already have bought one. Yes, I know about the easter egg, the whopping 9 seconds of mono. I don't even mind if the recording is uncompressed, and uses the out socket as an in (although two sockets in the base station would save on wear and tear). Yes I know I could just use the minidisc player I do have, or run audio cable from the lounge to the office, but then I could also burn my mp3s as red-book CDs. It's a question of convenience, dammit!
